 A definition:
Although "tree" is a term of common parlance, there is no universally recognized precise definition what a tree is, - neither botanically nor in common language.                                                             - Goog...........

In botany, a tree is a plant with an elongated stem, or trunk, supporting leaves or branches.
In some usages, the definition of a tree may be narrower, including only woody plants, only plants that are usable as lumber, only plants above a specified height or only perennial species. At its broadest, trees include the taller palms, the tree fernsbananas and bamboo.
                                                                                                                                                           (Wiki.)
hyperthon:

Tallest trees refer to the height of the tree. In August 2006, a new “tallest tree in the world” was found. It was found in a California redwood, and it’s location was Redwood Forest     ( Redwood National Park, California). This tree has been named “Hyperion” (from Greek mythology) and stands 115.61 meters (379.3 feet) tall! The Coast Redwood is probably the tallest tree on earth, although one occasionally hears of extraordinarily tall eucalypts in Western Australia, and during historical times there have been Douglas-firs (Pseudotsuga menziesii) recorded as being taller than any Coast Redwoods now living. However, it is quite likely that the tallest Coast Redwoods were early victims of the axe, so it is difficult to say if the Redwood was the tallest of conifers during early historical time

List of oldest trees

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Old Tjikko, said by some to be a 9,550 year old Norway Spruce, is the oldest known living individual clonal tree, located in Sweden
This is a list of the oldest known trees, as reported in reliable sources. Definitions of what constitutes an individual tree vary. In addition, tree ages are derived from a variety of sources, including documented "tree-ring" count core samples, and from estimates. For these reasons, this article presents three lists of "oldest trees", each using varying criteria.
There are three tables of trees, which are listed by age and species. The first table includes trees for which a minimum age has been directly determined, either through counting or cross-referencing tree rings or through radiocarbon dating. Many of these trees may be even older than their listed ages, but the oldest wood in the tree has rotted away. For some old trees, so much of the center is missing that their age cannot be directly determined. Instead, estimates are made based on the tree's size and presumed growth rate. The second table includes trees with these estimated ages. The last table lists clonal colonies in which no individual tree trunks may be remarkably old but in which the organism as a whole is thought to be very old.
The record-holders for individual, non-clonal trees may be the Great Basin bristlecone pine trees from California and Nevada, in the United States. Through tree-ring cross-referencing, they have been shown to be more than 5,000 years old.
A clonal colony can survive for much longer than an individual tree. A colony of 47,000 quaking aspen trees (nicknamed "Pando"), covering 106 acres (43 ha) in the Fishlake National Forest of the United States, is considered one of the oldest and largest organisms in the world. The colony has been estimated to be 80,000 years old, although tree ring samples date individual, above-ground, trees at only an average of about 130 years.  A colony of Huon pine trees covering 1 hectare (2.5 acres) on Mount Read, Tasmania is estimated to be around 10,000 years old, as determined by DNA samples taken from pollen collected from the sediment of a nearby lake. Individual trees in this group date to no more than 4,000 years old, as determined by tree ring samples.

Congratulations! You've Just Discovered Quick and Easy Natural Methods & Secrets to Eliminating the Unwanted Tattoo That You’ve Been Regretting for a Long Time

Discover this Simple, Natural, Yet Effective System that is Guaranteed to Get Rid of Your Unwanted Tattoo - Without any Painful, Expensive and Risky Abrasion & Laser Procedures

 From: Jason Carter
Tattoo Artist, Cover Up Tattoo Specialist and Former Unwanted Tattoo Sufferer

Dear Friend,

Do you have an unwanted tattoo somewhere on your body that you don’t like and wanted to get rid of. Every day, thousands of people suffer from skin damage because of painful, risky and expensive abrasion & laser procedures to remove tattoo.

For many, the unwanted tattoos will cause a lot of self consciousness and grief. If you are an unwanted tattoo sufferer, then keep reading because you've just found a cheap, effective, easy, safe and natural solution to your problem.

Are you tired of
  • People judging you by those unwanted tattoo?
  • Regretting a tattoo of past love, or associating you with a gang, you don’t want to be a part of anymore.
  • Obsessing in the mirror over the appearance of an undesired tattoo?
  • Unwanted tattoo holding you off from not getting the job you always wanted?
  • Wearing more clothes than you wanted to hide the tattoo?
  • Wasted time and money on expensive, painful and risky tattoo removal laser and abrasion procedures that are not guaranteed and cause skin damages?

If you answered yes, then this may be the most life changing letter you'll ever read.

Unwanted tattoos affect your life, your career and make you constantly self-conscious about it…because people do judge you from the outside.

Even though I’m a professional Tattoo Artist, my personal life took its toll on me. My wife Julia broke up with me 2 years ago... I was devastated. And it was all over, I had her name tattooed on my chest and legs which I wanted to get rid of, since the tattoo reminded me of her and break-up every day.

That was the first time, I experimented some of the natural methods I know of to get rid of my unwanted tattoo. Though my clients asked me on how to remove their unwanted tattoo before…I have always suggested cover up artwork for them…since I’ve never tested my natural methods then.

To my surprise, I completely removed the unwanted tattoo in about four months..and the natural products I used cost me just about $15/month.

Tattoo is Permanent, Not Anymore

Many websites and even doctors will tell you that you can't get rid of a tattoo without an invasive abrasion or Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser procedures. And why wouldn't they?!

If you really knew how less expensive and lot simpler it is to eliminate your tattoo using natural remedies and techniques, they wouldn't make nearly as much money!

As a Tattoo Specialist, I can tell you that tattoos are completely removable. Nearly any tattoo, no matter how dark they are, how old they are or what colors were used can be faded or completely eliminated.

And you don't have to spend thousands of dollars on invasive and dangerous procedures to do it.

Using this highly effective program, you can get rid of your tattoo right at your own home. There are no costly tattoo removal creams, dangerous chemical bleach, no laser surgeries, no doctor visits required at all!

about PRIONS

all    ABOUT    PRIONS

PRION

                                                                                                          - jg

WHAT is A PRION??    and,   HOW DOES IT AFFECT ME??

WANT THE BOTTOM LINE??
Why not!!!!   -   Well, here it is.  (I always read the last chapter first - so the facts that follow can only be summarized in this way - and don't say I didn't say that it was not important!!) This topic is so vital, that it affects us all - anyone who really understands what a prion is - how hard they are to destroy - how they are now in our environment - and, hence our food chain.....     will    PROBABLY BECAME A VEGAN!!!

"Prions are simply proteins, not living organisms, and they can survive almost anything, even hundreds of degrees of heat. Placing infected tissue in a landfill simply removes it, but scientists worry that the prions can leach through soil and groundwater, and spread.
Incineration is possible, but it isn't as easy as burning the carcass in a fire. Temperatures of more than 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit — sometimes up to 1,800 degrees — are required to effectively neutralize prions. Unlike most bacteria, regular cooking won't help at all."
FROM:

How deadly prions are destroyed - TODAY Health - TODAY.com

Now, some of the details:
PRION

A prion in the Scrapie form (PrPSc) i/  is an infectious agent composed of protein in a misfolded form.  (prion – Google).
Another definition:   Prion: A small proteinaceous infectious disease-causing agent that is believed to be the smallest infectious particle. A prion is neither bacterial nor fungal nor viral and contains no genetic material. Prions have been held responsible for a number of degenerative brain diseases, including mad cow disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, fatal familial insomnia, kuru, and an unusual form of hereditary dementia known as Gertsmann-Straeussler-Scheinker disease.   (Med.  dict.)
Prions were discovered when investigating why cannibals died sooner……….

The bottom line , for me, was to discover that anyone who REALLY understands prions, often becomes a VEGAN – and wonders why they did not do it sooner!!  (if not a vegan, a vegetarian, Or, if eating meat – to choose from the old classic of  ‘clean meat’).’
Symptoms and pathology of mad cow disease
Mad cow disease is a fatal condition affecting the nervous system of cattle. In an affected animal, the brain develops tiny holes. The animal loses control over its movements and its behaviour changes – so it seems mad.
The tiny holes in the brain are areas where brain cells have degenerated or died. Because of all these holes, the brain of an animal with mad cow disease looks like a sponge – hence the clinical name of the disease, bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).
The first diagnosis was in 1986
It is very similar to scrapie, a well-known disease in sheep that has been recorded for more than 200 years.      Scrapie is also a spongiform encephalopathy and is always fatal.
Why did mad cow disease suddenly appear?
Mad cow disease started in Britain after cattle were fed meat-and-bone meal, a protein supplement made from offal from cattle and sheep. This practice had been going on for some time before BSE appeared, but in the early 1980s the way in which offal was processed changed – the high temperatures and the quantities of chemical solvents used to sterilise the material were reduced slightly. This may have allowed the disease agent, which is very resistant to all forms of sterilisation, to survive.                                  - Wiki....
Kuru – a human disease with similar symptoms and a similar cause
In 1957, D. Carleton Gajdusek (United States National Institutes of Health) and Vincent Zigas (Australian Public Health Service) described a strange disease among the Fore highlanders of Papua New Guinea. Victims of the condition showed a gradual loss of coordination, which progressed to complete motor incapacity and death. The course of the disease lasted 12 months on average and was always fatal. It affected all ages and both sexes, but it was most common in adult women.
Related site: Press release: The 1976 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine
Summarises the research of Baruch Blumberg and Carleton Gajdusek that won the Nobel prize. (Nobelprize.org, Sweden)
Smart scientific detective work showed that the disease, called kuru, was caused by something that was passed on during ritual endocannibalism, when the brains of recently deceased people were eaten. This work involved inoculating chimpanzees with material from the brains of people who had died of kuru and was carried out by Caleton Gajdusek and his colleagues Joseph Gibbs and Michael Alpers. In 1976, Dr Gajdusek was awarded a Nobel prize for his work on kuru. Solving the puzzle of kuru also required detailed knowledge of the epidemiology of the disease and the mortuary practices and social behaviour of the Fore people.
Kuru began to disappear from Papua New Guinea after cannibalism was outlawed. However, it has not yet gone altogether: Remarkably, a few cases are still occurring in the early 2000s with incubation periods of up to 50 years. (ref: - Google..)

The Bengal is a hybrid breed of domestic cat. Bengals result from crossing a domestic feline with an Asian leopard cat (ALC), Prionailurus bengalensis bengalensis.
The Bengal cat has a desirable "wild" appearance with large spots, rosettes, and a light/white belly, and a body structure reminiscent of the ALC. The Bengal possesses a gentle domestic cat temperament, if separated by at least four generations from the original crossing between a domestic feline and an ALC.
The name "Bengal cat" was derived from the taxonomic name of the Asian leopard cat (P. b. bengalensis), and not from the more distantly related Bengal tiger.                            -Wiki.......

History

The earliest mention of an ALC/domestic cross was in 1889, when Harrison Weir wrote in Our Cats and All About Them
However in 1927, Mr Boden-Kloss wrote to the magazine Cat Gossip regarding hybrids between wild and domestic cats in Malaya:
I have never heard of hybrids between bengalensis (the Leopard Cat) and domestic cats. One of the wild tribes of the Malay Peninsula has domesticated cats, and I have seen the woman suckling bengalensis kittens, but I do not know whether the latter survive and breed with the others!
The earliest mention of a confirmed ALC/domestic cross was in 1934 in a Belgian scientific journal, and in 1941, a Japanese cat publication printed an article about one that was kept as a pet                  -Wiki....

Appearance

Bengal cat with light/white spotted belly
Bengal cats have "wild-looking" markings, such as large spots, rosettes, and a light/white belly, and a body structure reminiscent of the leopard cat. A Bengal's rosetted spots occur only on the back and sides, with stripes elsewhere. The breed typically also features "mascara" (horizontal striping alongside the eyes), and foreleg striping.                                                                                                 -Wiki......

Temperament and health

After three generations from the original crossing, the breed usually acquires a gentle domestic cat temperament; however, for the typical pet owner, a Bengal cat kept as a pet should be at least four generations (F4) removed from the leopard cat.                                                  -Wiki.....
